Markoste Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Markoste platform operated by MARKOSTE PTY LTD ("Markoste", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Markoste provides cloud-based clinical documentation, transcription, decision support, and related workflow tools for pharmacists and pharmacy organisations in Australia. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan and trial status.

2. Accounts and registration

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure. Completing account setup may include providing billing details through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

3. Free trial

• New accounts may receive a 14-day free trial with Professional-tier access to most platform features.
• MIMS drug interaction and dose checking are excluded during the free trial and require a paid plan.
• During the trial you are not charged for subscription fees.
• Markoste Custom Rules (personal clinical flags in your reports) are available on Professional and Founding Pharmacist plans, and during an active free trial after you complete billing registration.
• Admin-extended trials may be granted at our discretion with different end dates.

4. Billing and subscriptions

• If you complete billing registration during your trial, your card is stored securely with Stripe for future billing.
• Unless you cancel automatic billing before your trial ends, your account will continue on the Professional plan at $99/month AUD after the trial.
• If you do not complete billing registration, your account moves to the free tier when the trial ends unless you manually upgrade.
• Practitioner and Founding Pharmacist plans are separate upgrades selected manually through our checkout flow.
• Prices are in Australian dollars. GST is not currently charged on subscriptions.
• Your bank may show a temporary card verification hold when you add a card. This is not a Markoste charge.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel automatic Professional billing at any time before your trial ends from Account settings. After a paid subscription begins, you may cancel at any time; access generally continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at cancellation.

6. Acceptable use

You must use Markoste lawfully and in accordance with professional obligations applicable to your practice. You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, or upload malicious content.

7. Clinical disclaimer

Markoste provides documentation and decision-support tools only. You remain solely responsible for clinical judgement, patient care, and compliance with applicable laws, standards, and professional requirements.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Markoste is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
