How-To Guide

Welcome to Markoste

This guide walks you through every part of Markoste in plain English, one step at a time. Use the menu on the left to jump to any tool, module or configuration page. If you ever get stuck, this is the place to look first.

The big picture

What is Markoste?

Markoste is an all-in-one workspace built for Australian pharmacists. It turns your patient consultations into professional clinical reports, checks medicines for interactions, keeps your patient records in one place, schedules your follow-ups, and helps you run residential, aged care and home medicines review programs.

You do not need to use every part. Most pharmacists start with Scribe (writing notes) and Patient Files (keeping records), then add the modules they need.

How the pieces connect

How everything flows together

Every tool in Markoste shares the same patient information, so your work carries through from start to finish:

  1. Scribe records or reads a consultation and writes the clinical report.
  2. That note and the patient's documents are stored in Patient Files.
  3. PharmCal schedules the follow-up so nothing is missed.
  4. The modules (Residential, ACOP and HMR) organise this work into pipelines, registers and reports for each program.
  5. Markoste+ Rules is a configuration page where you set up rules that create flags when they are triggered in the program.
  6. Analytics brings it all together so you can see your workload and trends.

Tip

Think of Patient Files as the centre of the wheel. Everything you do in the other tools attaches back to a patient record.
